About TechWise Guides
What is TechWise Guides?
TechWise Guides is an independent website of practical technology guides, launched in October 2026. It has one simple job: take the problems ordinary people face with their phones and computers every day, and explain the fix in plain, easy English — step by step, in the exact order you should follow it.
No jargon, no filler, and no twenty-minute video for a two-minute fix. If a guide is on this site, it exists because real people keep searching for that problem and deserve a clear answer.
Who runs this site?
TechWise Guides is written and maintained by Muhammad, a technology enthusiast based in Pakistan. The idea started at home: family members, friends and colleagues kept coming with the same everyday problems — a phone that had become painfully slow, a WhatsApp chat deleted by mistake, a Windows laptop full of pop-ups, confusion about SIM packages, PTA approval and online bills.
The answers already on the internet were often too technical, written for much older versions, or buried inside long videos. So he started writing the guides he wished already existed: short ordered steps, menu names exactly as they appear on screen, and a clear warning before any step that could delete your data. Muhammad writes, edits and maintains every guide published here.
What we publish
- Android guides — speed, battery, storage, updates and the settings that actually matter.
- Windows guides — Windows 10 and 11 fixes, performance settings, privacy controls and everyday problems.
- Apps & WhatsApp guides — backup and recovery, privacy settings, and fixes for the apps people use all day.
- Internet & SIM guides — Wi-Fi speed, mobile internet, balance and package codes, PTA IMEI checks and online bill checking.
- Security & privacy guides — recognising scams and OTP fraud, recovering hacked accounts, and locking down your privacy settings.
How our guides are written
Every guide tackles exactly one problem. The steps are kept in a safe order — simple and harmless fixes first, stronger steps later — and anything risky, such as a factory reset or deleting a backup, is clearly marked before you reach it. Each guide ends with the questions readers ask most often, answered briefly, plus links to related guides if your problem turns out to be slightly different.
We write for complete beginners. If a step needs a technical word, the word is explained in the same sentence. You never need to be "good with computers" to follow a guide on this site.
Who these guides are for
Our readers are students, parents, shopkeepers, office workers and anyone who simply wants their phone or computer to work properly. Many guides are written with readers in Pakistan in mind — PTA mobile approval, SIM balance and package codes, electricity bill checks and local internet problems — while the Android, Windows, WhatsApp and security guides are useful to readers anywhere in the world.
Free to read, supported by advertising
Every guide on TechWise Guides is completely free to read, with no sign-up and no paywall. The site is supported by advertising, such as Google AdSense, which is what allows the guides to stay free. Advertising never decides what we write or recommend: a fix is included because it works and is safe to try, never because of an advertiser.
Corrections and suggestions
Apps, menus and settings change often, and a step that matched your phone last year may look different today. If you find a step that no longer matches, spot a mistake, or want a problem covered that we have not written about yet, please tell us through the Contact page or email [email protected]. Reader messages genuinely decide what gets corrected and what we publish next.
Thank you for reading — we hope the next problem you search for takes two minutes to fix, not two hours.
